Q: "What plants is this Moss Pole designed for?"
A: Our Moss Pole is built for climbing houseplants with aerial roots - Monstera Deliciosa, Monstera Adansonii, Pothos, Philodendron, Ivy, Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma, Syngonium, and similar tropical climbers. It mimics the texture of rainforest tree bark, giving aerial roots a natural surface to grip, climb, and absorb moisture from.
Q: "How tall is the Moss Pole and can it be extended?"
A: A single section measures 26.4". Thanks to our stackable modular design, you can connect multiple poles through the hollow inner core and extend support up to 47.8" — and add another section anytime your plant outgrows its current height. No need to replace, just stack.
Q: "How does the self-watering funnel work?"
A: The funnel sits on top of the pole and channels water directly into the hollow core, soaking the coco coir from the inside out. This keeps the moss pole consistently moist for longer, encourages aerial roots to attach faster, and reduces water waste. Simply pour water into the funnel every few days — the included sealing cap helps lock in hydration between waterings.
Q: "What's included in the kit?"
A: Each kit includes 2 moss poles with reinforced wood stakes, 2 self-watering funnels, 2 sealing caps, 2 stabilizers, 2 × 3 ft natural hemp rope, 2 × 3 ft Velcro tape, 2 × 32 ft green plant tape, 15 twist ties, 10 zip ties, and 4 wooden plant tags — everything you need to install, secure, and label your plant from day one.
Q: "How do I install the Moss Pole and attach my plant?"
A: Insert the wood stake into the soil behind your plant's main stem (the side where aerial roots emerge), pressing the stabilizer flat against the soil to anchor it firmly. Gently tie the stem to the pole using twist ties, zip ties, or Velcro tape — never tie the leaves or petioles. Keep the coco coir moist and within a few weeks, aerial roots will grip the pole on their own.
Q: "Will the wood stake mold or rot in moist soil?"
A: No. The wood stake is treated with natural mineral oil, giving it strong resistance to mold and rot even in consistently moist conditions. This is why our pole holds up long-term while many cheaper alternatives blacken and break down at the base.
Q: "Can I use just one pole for a small plant, or do I need both?"
A: Either works. Start with a single 26.4" pole for younger plants or compact climbers, then connect the second section once your plant approaches the top. This "grows with your plant" design means you don't have to swap to a taller pole later — you simply extend the one you already have.
