Tomato Large Cherry Seeds Pack 0.8 G - Over 300 of Non-GMO Heirloom Tomato Seeds for Planting Vegetables in Individual Seed Packet, Vegetable Seeds for Planting Home Garden Indoor & Outdoor GardeningSo far this garden has been a slow starter for me with these seeds, but they are now growing. I attempted both direct sow and indoor seeds, finding starting these indoor worked much better and quicker with a higher germination rate - pretty much expected that. I appreciate all the information that Organo Republic includes on the back of the seed packets about the tomatoes and growing instructions. This is a great brand and high quality seeds.

Instructions on the back of the packet.

I thought the instructions they provided on the back of the packet clear and simple. The seeds themselves are separated and large. They look like healthy seeds.

Good Tomatoes for Drying

These tomatoes are easy to grow and can be direct seeded in the garden or started in trays and then moved to the garden after the last frost date. There are plenty of seeds in this packet, so you get a decent amount of seeds for the money. This is a nice variety of tomato that is ideal for drying, either sun dried or in a food dehydrator. This type of tomato produces a lot of fruit. It is of the indeterminate variety and has a large, sprawling growth habit that requires trellising and pruning.I am glad that the provided seeds are non-GMO, and grown in the USA, although they are not certified organic. I am disappointed, however, that the package is not printed with packed dates or expiration dates. So, there is no way to tell if these seeds are fresh, and for approximately how long they are viable to plant. For the price they are a decent value, but I wish there were date stamps on the packaging. If I have germination issues, I will return to update this review.

Nice!

It will take a while to know how well these seeds work but I have tried this brand before and had a good experience! I am setting up a new raised garden bed to grow a few edible plants and I an really excited to add these to that mix. Seeds look good from what I can tell and no mold or issues out the gate. Looks good!

Sprouted quickly

I started these seeds in small pots on my porch. They sprouted quickly and have held up well, even to heavy rain. I think every seed I put in sprouted, so I did have to do some selective pruning to avoid competition within the plants. They are quite tall now, but haven't produced any flowers or tomatoes yet. This could be because we are a little late in the season, or maybe my soil make up isn't perfect, but I am a little surprised to not have anything showing yet with how tall the plants are. But I'm not holding it against the seeds, as they are growing quite nicely and I've had good luck with this brand in the past. I'm a novice gardener, so I'll just keep learning!

Tomato Large Cherry Seeds

There's a lot of seeds in this package. These are going to last me for a couple seasons. I've been finding that its easier to grow cherry tomatoes vs full size in my container garden.

Started inside in May, moved outside in June, not much to show for it

We're huge fans of Cherry Tomatoes in our garden, so much so that we usually have about 10-12 going each year to ensure we've got a steady supply during the summer. We find they're a very rewarding crop because of how much each individual plant can yield, but these have been something of a disappointment to a few other varieties we have growing alongside them.We started with a seedling batch of 24 in seedling trays in May, and since we're in Minnesota, we let them spend until mid-June indoors in an attempt to spare them from the bad hailstorms we typically get.Our hunch paid off, but even after we finally transplanted these in mid-June they didn't sprout nearly as well as some of the others and have only fallen further and further behind despite enjoying the same amount of water and sunlight. They're just not doing as well in our soil as the other varieties. We probably won't be trying these again next year.***Overall Value***A bit of a disappointment, but at just $6 (at the time of review) it's always worth a shot. After all, our soil composition probably differs from yours so you may have better luck.

Good germination rate

These are good seeds and almost all of them germinated. The plants are quite heavy even with my lack of care. I let it dry out a few time but plants went back to life as soon as I give them water. I have to get to get fruits but they are growing very well.

Great seeds, but a bit pricey.

These cherry tomato seeds are solid. The germination rate is great, with most seeds sprouting quickly. I used the damp paper towel method, and after a couple of days, I had healthy sprouts. The seeds come with clear instructions and useful info on the packet. They're non-GMO and heirloom, which is a big plus for me. The only downside is the price—$7 for one pack is a bit steep, but you get a decent amount of seeds. Overall, they seem worth it if you want reliable tomato plants.

Cherry tomato seeds

I love that these are non-GMO heirloom seeds. They look clean and have healthy looking outer casings. I ordered these to replace some that I'd planned earlier in the season that got wiped out by an overzealous landscaper. Hopefully they'll mature quickly and produce a lot of fruit this season.

Good seeds

These are pretty good seeds and sprouted after a few days kept damp. I'm hoping they grow into nice cherry tomato plants. The price of the package is a little much, but taste will be the final determination.

Cherry tomato seeds

The only thing I think is a gripe about these, is that they're $7 a pack of seeds. I've never really spent that much on one single pack of seeds in my life. So with that being said, that's the worst thing about the product. The seeds are decent and I have a few sprouts already happening. Can't complain about that part of it. Other than the price everything else is great. Would recommend.

Love that they are non GMO

I love that these seed are non GMO. They come with all of the information that you need to plant them properly. I am just in the beginning of planting season so I can not report back on taste or growth yet!

Grow Sweet, Prolific Snacking Tomatoes from Heirloom, Non-GMO Cherry Tomato Seeds

Cherry tomatoes are the candy of the vegetable garden, and these are big, generous ones. Our heirloom large cherry tomato seeds (Solanum lycopersicum) grow into vigorous, sprawling plants that pump out clusters of sweet, bite-sized fruits from midsummer until frost. They are one of the most rewarding and productive things a new gardener can grow.

Who it's for

Perfect for families, snackers, and beginners. Cherry tomatoes are famously forgiving and productive, so they build confidence fast, and few things get kids more excited about the garden than picking warm, sweet tomatoes straight off the vine.

How & when to plant

Start the seeds indoors about 6 to 8 weeks before your last frost, sowing them about a quarter inch deep in warm soil; they germinate in roughly 6 to 10 days. Transplant the seedlings outdoors after the danger of frost has passed, in full sun, spacing plants about 24 to 36 inches apart, and bury the stems deep for strong roots.

Growing & care

These are tall, sprawling plants, so give them a sturdy cage or trellis at planting. Water deeply and evenly, feed them through the season, and keep picking to encourage more fruit. They love full sun and warm weather and will reward you generously right up to the first frost.

Harvest

Start picking around 65 to 75 days from transplanting, once the fruits are fully colored and slightly soft. Harvest often, since ripe cherry tomatoes drop or split if left too long, and enjoy them fresh, as their flavor is best straight off the plant.

Benefits & uses

Large cherry tomatoes are endlessly useful. Pop them whole into salads and lunchboxes, roast them until jammy, thread them onto skewers, or simply snack on them warm from the garden. Their sweetness and productivity make them a summer staple.

Why gardeners love our cherry tomato seed

Our cherry tomato seed is heirloom, non-GMO, and untreated, chosen for strong germination and packed fresh by a licensed seed dealer based in the USA. Grow baskets of sweet tomatoes and save seed from your favorites year after year. Choose the pack size that fits your garden and get sowing.

FAQ

Very. They are among the most forgiving and productive tomatoes, making them a great choice for beginners and a favorite with kids.

Space plants about 24 to 36 inches apart in full sun, and give them a sturdy cage or trellis, as they grow tall and sprawling.
Usually about 65 to 75 days from transplanting. Pick them once fully colored and slightly soft, and harvest often so they do not split.
Uneven watering is the usual cause. Water deeply and evenly, and pick ripe fruit promptly, especially before heavy rain.
Enjoy them fresh in salads and lunchboxes, roast them until jammy, skewer them, or simply snack on them warm from the vine.
Large Red Cherry is a classic heirloom producing big clusters of round, bright-red cherry tomatoes. The fruit is a bit larger than typical cherries and has a sweet, well-balanced flavor.
Start seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before your last frost, sowing 1/4 inch deep. Transplant outside after frost danger passes and nights stay above 50°F.
These productive plants usually ripen fruit about 70 days from transplant and keep producing until frost. Pick the tomatoes when they are fully red and firm.
Yes. A pot of at least 5 gallons in full sun works well, with a cage or stake for support. Container plants will need regular watering to keep the fruit sweet and prevent cracking.
Yes. It is vigorous, forgiving, and heavy-yielding, so it is a great choice for first-time gardeners and for kids who enjoy picking sweet tomatoes for snacking and salads.
Each packet contains about 70 heirloom, non-GMO seeds. Store the extras in a cool, dry place to keep them viable for several years.
