Great Seeds

I was searching for a more reliable seed company because my previous purchases from a major home improvement store yielded poor to non-existent germination rates. Even the seeds that did sprout were weak and quickly died off. I decided to try this new company, and I'm extremely impressed! The Echinacea and Zinnia seeds I bought sprouted in under a week! I will absolutely be ordering my vegetable seeds from them in the future.

I started 20 seeds in a grow box about two weeks ago and as of now I have 11 small plants. That’s a pretty good germination rate and I do expect more to sprout. So far so good wish me luck.

Shipping was super fast, but I believe they ship from the same state I lived in.

Plenty of Seeds, Well Packaged

These seem like they're good seeds, in good shape. They were well dried, and many were in the package. They sprouted after I planted them, but sadly, the heat wave hit my area, and I don't think any of these flowers survived. I just couldn't keep the garden watered well enough, and then we went out of the town, and the person I asked to water didn't water as thoroughly as I'd hoped. So I think these poor Echinacea flowers didn't make it.

Echinacea Seeds Pack 5.5 G - Over 1000 Non-GMO Heirloom Echinacea Seeds for Planting Herbs in Individual Seed Packet, Herbs Seeds for Planting Home Garden Indoor & Outdoor GardeningDecent amount of seeds in here. They say 1000 and the seeds are fairly small, so I’d say you get what you paid for here. I have germination success thus far with a bunch of little sprouts, too soon to tell germination rates. Probably 50% in the soil after the first month of planting. Organo Republic has quality seeds and this is a good example of their offerings. I recommend these seeds if you are looking for seeds with the USA as the country of origin.

Exactly as expected

The seeds look good from what I can tell (I love plants but I’m no master gardener). The packaging is nice and would be a cute addition to a gift basket for your plant-loving friends. I can’t wait to get them in the ground! I’ve always wanted echinacea in my garden and to use in teas and tinctures!!

Lots of seeds

Lots of seeds in this package of Echinacea Seeds from Organic Republic. Seeds look good and are well packaged. They are American based company. The seeds are a heirloom variety and non-GMO. My luck with blue coneflowers is hit or miss. There are so many seeds in this package I was able to plant them in various areas of my front and backyard so I am sure some will thrive in a least one place. My only issue is there was no “packaged for 2024” label on my package.

Easy to Grow and Beautiful Color

I ordered these for growing in raised garden beds around my home to add splashes of color around the homestead. I have found Echinacea easy to grow using the direct sow method in the beds. As long as I keep the beds well-watered, I always get good germination rates with Echinacea seeds, and once established, they tolerate poor soil conditions, extreme head, and drought conditions. They are also perennials, so they will return year after year once established. This flower can also be made into tea, and I am glad that the provided seeds are Non-GMO and grown in the USA, although they are not certified organic. I am disappointed, however, that the package is not printed with packed dates or expiration dates. So, there is no way to tell if these seeds are fresh, and for approximately how long they are viable to plant.Expect these flowers to grow anywhere from 2-4 feet depending on watering conditions. If you’re looking for an easy to grow flower that not only looks great in the landscape but can be used in teas, then you won’t go wrong with these seeds.

I put some seeds over a place I buried my horse last year that was dozed shale rock. No grass would grow over it and I was reminded of my sadness....it took one bag of potting soil and the seeds and even though it the middle of summer, it's already sprouting and growing.

Grow Tough, Native Blooms from Heirloom, Non-GMO Echinacea Seeds

Echinacea, the purple coneflower, is a backbone of the pollinator garden. Our heirloom echinacea seeds (Echinacea purpurea) grow into sturdy, upright perennials with large daisy-like flowers of rosy purple around a raised, coppery cone. Butterflies and bees crowd the blooms all summer, and if you leave the seed heads standing, goldfinches will visit them into winter.

Who it's for

A great choice for pollinator gardeners, prairie and native plant lovers, and anyone who wants a tough, long-lived perennial. Echinacea is drought tolerant once established and comes back year after year, so a little patience at the start pays off for seasons to come.

How & when to plant

Echinacea seeds germinate best after a cold, moist spell, so chill them in the fridge for a few weeks before sowing, or sow outdoors in late fall to let winter do the work. Barely cover the seeds, since they need a little light, and keep them moist; germination takes about 10 to 21 days. Grow echinacea in full sun in soil that drains well, spacing plants about 12 to 24 inches apart.

Growing & care

Once established, echinacea is wonderfully low maintenance. Give it sun and decent drainage, water it through its first season, and then it largely fends for itself, shrugging off heat and drought. Plants usually bloom from the second year on, and you can divide clumps every few years to keep them vigorous.

Bloom & care

Echinacea flowers over a long stretch of summer, and the blooms are excellent for cutting. Leave the spent flower heads in place through fall and winter rather than tidying them away, both for their sculptural look and to feed seed-eating birds.

Benefits & uses

Purple coneflower is a standout for wildlife and cottage or prairie style gardens. Its nectar-rich blooms feed butterflies and bees through the summer, the seed heads feed birds in winter, and the sturdy flowers make long-lasting additions to bouquets. It is a beautiful, resilient perennial for a sunny border.

Why gardeners plant our echinacea seed

Our echinacea seed is heirloom, non-GMO, and untreated, chosen for strong germination and packed fresh by a licensed seed dealer based in the USA. Plant it once and enjoy this native perennial for years, saving seed from your own plants along the way. Choose the pack size that fits your garden and get growing.
