When should I sow Heavenly Blue morning glory seeds?
After the last frost when the soil is warm. Soak or nick the seeds 24 hours before planting.
How tall does Heavenly Blue grow?
Vines reach 10 to 12 feet. Give them string, netting, or a trellis to twine around.
Why is my vine all leaves and no flowers?
Usually too much nitrogen or rich soil. Grow in lean soil, do not fertilize, and give full sun. Heavenly Blue also starts flowering a bit later than mixed types.
How big are the flowers?
About 4 to 5 inches across, clear sky blue with a white and yellow throat. Each bloom lasts one morning.
Will it self-seed?
Yes, readily. Remove the pods if you do not want volunteers next year.
How many seeds are in a 1 oz pack?
Over 800 seeds, enough to cover about 40 feet of trellis or fence.
