How & when to plant

Growing & care

Give the vines full sun, average to lean soil, and something to twine around. Skip the fertilizer, which produces leaves instead of flowers. Water during dry spells. Heavenly Blue often starts blooming a little later than mixed types, then flowers heavily until frost.

Harvest

Enjoy the flowers on the vine, since each bloom lasts one day. To save seed, let pods dry to brown in late summer and collect them before they split. Seeds are not edible.
