High germination rate, quick to sprout

Love these seeds! They were the first to sprout in an entire peat pellet tray of varied veggies, so if you want quick microgreens these would be perfect. I’m hoping for more of a salad, so I have more growing to do. Very happy with the high germination rate.

Fresh Greens at Your Fingertips

Growing my own arugula has been a rewarding experience, thanks to this Arugula Roquette Seeds Pack. The individual seed packets make it easy to plant and manage the seeds, ensuring a successful harvest every time. With over 2900 non-GMO heirloom arugula seeds included, I have plenty to last multiple growing seasons. Whether in my home garden or outdoor plot, these seeds thrive and produce vibrant, flavorful greens. It's a simple yet satisfying way to add fresh, homegrown ingredients to my meals.

Germinated quickly

The directions on how and when to plant was on the back of the seed packet. It even had a diagram of the US showing when you should plant the seeds for your area. This package of seeds had 5g of seeds (which according to the package is 2900 seeds). I used several of the seeds for the outdoor raised garden bed and since I had a lot of extra seeds I am also growing some as microgreens in a 10”x10” tray. The microgreen seeds are growing quite well (see pic after only 5 days). The ones I planted outdoors are just starting to come up. I haven’t grown arugula before so I’m looking forward to adding arugula to my salads.

Non GMO and heirloom

Handy little pack of Arugula seeds perfect for a summertime salad/greens garden. Approximately 5 grams of seeds, which is a lot since these seeds resemble ground pepper - just prep your soil - the directions call for full sunlight, sow your seeds, keep watered (not flooded you'll wash your seeds away) and you should see some growth within a week or two. Stagger your planting and have fresh greens throughout the summer.

Going to try these as sprouts

I'll be likely testing this seeds as sprouts as I have a separate packet for outdoor direct sowing. I've already sown arugula outdoors this spring, and learned that you can eat the thinnings removed from the row, which helped discover the potential for trying this as a sprout or microgreen. The packet is informative and well designed. It's a bit silly to claim these are "non-GMO heirloom" seeds, as this is a simple green that doesn't have variations or hybrids -- but it seems many seed purveyors are using such marketing terminology.Review of Arugula Roquette Seeds Pack 5G - Over 2900 Non-GMO Heirloom Arugula Seeds for Planting Greens in Individual Seed Packet, Greens Seeds for Planting Home Garden Indoor & Outdoor Gardening

So much rocket

I love the peppery taste of rocket (arugula) in my salads but it’s not always easy to find it. I planted in a raised bed and it germinated and sprouted quickly. It had the perfect tender peppery taste and there’s nothing like eating salad from my own garden. Sadly, the bunnies discovered it and within in one night all the arugula was gone. 😭 next year I will use a strong barrier to keep unwanted critters out! But this is a nice seed packet and I recommend it.

Good for the novice

I'm a novice gardener. I have a good sized flower garden and herb garden but it's always fun to plant a veg. I love arugula and thought these would be easy to grow. I started a handful and can see some growth but still in the beginning stages. I'll post more once my seeds have really sprouted.

Germinated fast

They have a really good germination rate. I have not yet harvested but they have grown their set of true leaves. Can't wait to harvest. They do better at the end of summer or spring here. The packet contained so many seeds. Compared to big store's seed packs this is a great value!

Good Germination and Growth

Haven't been able to harvest any yet, but germination (in rockwool) was about 90% and growth has been fast. Can't wait for the first harvest, as we've had great luck with Organo Republic seeds in the past.

May just be my luck or this batch of seeds

Arugula Roquette Seeds Pack 5G - Over 2900 Non-GMO Heirloom Arugula Seeds for Planting Greens in Individual Seed Packet, Greens Seeds for Planting Home Garden Indoor & Outdoor GardeningNo significant germination with these seeds. I'm sad about it because I have used this brand of seeds before with great results. This time around, no luck. With 2900 seeds, I was expecting a decent sized batch but it has been patchy in my indoor garden setup. The seeds are certainly arugula seedlings and the batch I do have are growing well, just I had a low germination rate.

Growing now!

I was happy that I could find these arugula seeds and have them delivered, it save me time from going to the nursery. They arrived as expected and I am waiting for Arugula to pop up now.

Robust growing seed

Arugula is generally an easy to grow vegetable and this one is no exception. In my experience it is robust and grows well once you put it into the soil and water it. Make sure the soil is fertile and make sure you water them on a regular basis. Don't over-water them, otherwise they will not sprout. I usually harvest when it gets to about 3 inches high. Don't let it have flowers, otherwise it's not super edible can become bitter.

Fast Growing

PRODUCT/THOUGHTS:The package includes a US map, showing directions on planting and when you should plant. Planted these in potting soil and water every few days. I was really excited that within a week, they were already starting to grow. Very happy they are non-GMO and feel safer eating and enjoying these once they are fully grown.

So far so good with germination

It is tough to review seeds. To give these a fair shake I went ahead and put 10 seeds in a ziplock back on wet paper towel and had 100% germination which was a great sign. I've planted them in the garden here the last week of May, which is a hotter period than normal, so will see how they fair growing in the heat. Normally arugula in our area is just finishing up but with a bit of shade I think I can get a harvest out of the plants at a younger stage. I will update this review upon harvest.

Great germination rates

I'm still waiting for these to be a harvestable size but they sprouted immediately. The germination rates on this arugula are really good.

Nice packet of seeds

This is a great packet of arugula seeds. I love that they’re heirloom and non-gmo, so I can plant without feeling bad. I’ve prepared them for planting but haven’t yet, will report back once I have a crop.

Grow Peppery, Fast Salad Greens from Heirloom, Non-GMO Arugula Seeds

Arugula gives you gourmet salad greens in a matter of weeks. Our heirloom arugula seeds (Eruca sativa), also known as roquette, grow into loose rosettes of deeply lobed leaves with a fresh, peppery, nutty bite. It is one of the fastest and easiest crops you can grow, ready to snip while other vegetables are barely getting started.

Who it's for

Ideal for beginners, salad lovers, and small-space gardeners. Arugula is quick, forgiving, and thrives in containers and window boxes, so it rewards almost anyone with fresh, flavorful greens fast. If you want an instant salad garden, start here.

How & when to plant

Sow arugula seeds directly in cool weather, in early spring or fall, planting them about a quarter inch deep in full sun to part shade. They sprout fast, in about 5 to 7 days. Thin the seedlings to about 4 to 6 inches apart, and sow a fresh short row every couple of weeks for a steady supply of tender leaves.

Growing & care

Arugula likes cool weather and steady moisture, which keep the leaves mild and tender; heat and dryness make it bolt and turn sharply hot. Give it even water and a little afternoon shade in warm spells, and pick young for the best flavor. It is quick enough to slip between slower crops.

Harvest

Start cutting the outer leaves as soon as they are a few inches long, usually around 30 to 40 days, and leave the center to regrow for repeat harvests. Younger leaves are milder, while older leaves pack a spicier punch. Use it fresh soon after cutting.

Benefits & uses

Arugula brings big flavor to the plate. Pile the peppery leaves into salads, scatter them over pizza and pasta after cooking, blend them into a punchy pesto, or layer them into sandwiches. Fast, fresh, and full of character, it is a favorite for good reason.

Why gardeners grow our arugula seed

Our arugula seed is heirloom, non-GMO, and untreated, chosen for strong germination and packed fresh by a licensed seed dealer based in the USA. Grow fast, peppery greens and save seed from your best plants. Choose the pack size that fits your garden and get sowing.
