Connecticut Field Pumpkin Seeds – Non-GMO Heirloom 5.5G

Living in a really hot climate, it is hard to find pumpkins that will take the extreme heat. This variety appears to be able to take it, with a little help from occasional shade and lots of added water. Only time will tell though how successful we will be with this packet of seeds. Luckily, they can be planted in our zone up until July and so we have several weeks to go before we reach that cutoff point. The price seems reasonable, competitive with other seed sellers and it is convenient to have them delivered. Update may be possible later this year, once the harvest is in, or sooner if they don't work out.Giving them a five star rating for now based on the promise of massive numbers of pumpkins for pies and Halloween.

I like these pumpkin seeds. I chose these seeds because I have always wanted to grow pie pumpkins to make my own fresh pies, so I was excited to find this variety. I like that they are non-GMO and heirloom. The packet has a good number of seeds. The packet has good information about zones and planting. I like that they are good for 2 years at least because I don't have a lot of space so I can grow some this year and some next. Overall I like these seeds and do recommend them.

Cannot wait to see how these produce and taste the pumpkins!As for the condition of the seeds upon arrival they could not be more perfect.They are clean and fresh in appearance, beautiful.I am in California and it gets VERY HOT where I live so I will be going with the May - July planting window so that I can avoid the hottest months where any squash plants can be brutalized.So end of July I will be putting seedlings from these seeds in the ground and have a harvest projected for the Fall season.Again, these are beautiful seeds and there are so many we will share with others and/or save some for next year and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND these pumpkin seeds for great quality and value.When our pumpkin plants have grown and produced fruit I will do my best to return with photos and videos and an update on quality of the fruit!

The website is accurate in depicting the packaging and what you get. The seeds germinated in a few days. Haven't gotten through the whole growing season so don't know how it'll end up but the seeds did their job.

I have already planned these seeds in the tray. The pumpkin patch already consisted of cucumbers, squash, and heirloom pumpkins. These should make a nice addition! There were plenty of seeds in this pack, so one pack should be enough for the average person's entire patch.

We just bought our first house which means our first yard! I want to have lots of pumpkins for the fall and then to carve for Halloween and thought, what could be more fun than trying to grow them myself?Well, I’ve never tried any kind of gardening before and this pack says easy to grow - what could go wrong? 😂 I’m gonna pop em in a planter and see what sprouts, fingers crossed!

These pumpkins are easy to grow and can be direct seeded in the garden or started in trays and then moved to the garden after the last frost date. There are about 60 seeds in this packet, so you get a decent amount of seeds for the money.This is a nice variety of pumpkin that is uniform in shape, as the fruits get to around 15-25-pounds and they can measure 12-20” in diameter and they have flat bottoms. Although you can grow these directly on the ground, I prefer to trellis them on a raised garden bed on extra heavy-duty trellises. The vines can handle the weight and the squash, and the skin of the fruits are resistant to pests and rot. Expect 2-4 fruits per vine.I am glad that the provided seeds are non-GMO, and grown in the USA, although they are not certified organic. I am disappointed, however, that the package is not printed with packed dates or expiration dates. So, there is no way to tell if these seeds are fresh, and for approximately how long they are viable to plant.For the price they are a decent value, but I wish there were date stamps on the packaging. If I have germination issues, I will return to update this review.

They seem to be doing well and I had good germination. I think I planted them a week or two ago and they are starting to have 3 leaves now. I’m hoping I got them planted in time for an October harvest.

These seeds look great and and I've grown vegetables from Organo Republic seeds many times before, but for some reason, all of my pumpkin seeds succumbed to mold about a week after germination. I wasn't able to successfully troubleshoot it, and ultimately just didn't plant pumpkins this year. This could well be user error or some environmental factor, and is the only reason I'm docking a star, but I wanted to share my experience and document this in case others are having the same experience with these pumpkin seeds.

got the Non-GMO Heirloom Pumpkin Seeds to plant in my garden, and while I’ll have to wait until spring to see how they perform, I’m already pleased with the purchase. I appreciate that these seeds are both non-GMO and heirloom, which is important for maintaining traditional plant varieties.The packaging is well-done, and the quantity of seeds (60) is generous, offering plenty of opportunities to grow a great crop. I’m looking forward to planting them and seeing how they do when the time comes.

So far, these seeds have been doing well. They sprouted well, and transferred into my raised beds just fine. I don’t have any pumpkins on the vines yet, but they looking like they may start any day now.

These came out too late for spring 2024 planting in my area, so I have had to set them aside and hope that they'll work in spring 2025. The package says guaranteed fresh for two years. My fingers are crossed!(And if they fail to sprout next year, I'll be back to edit the review and tell you.)

I love that these are non GMO. The packet has all the information that you need in order to plant them at the proper time, distance and depth.

The quantity of seeds you get for the price is decent in my opinion, and we had good success with germination. So far the plants are growing well and we look forward to the future pumpkins these will produce! I'm very happy so far!

This package of 60 pumpkin seeds is a great deal. I have to restart my pumpkins due to the squash borer bug. I am sowing a few seeds indoors to avoid, what I now know is the season of the squash borer bug, in hopes that by the time they are big enough the pest will be done. I will be careful with the roots as I know they do not like to be disturbed. Two of the 4 seeds I planted have germinated, so far.

I much prefer planting heirloom vegetables, and while I'd never attempted to grow this variety of pumpkin, I'm excited to give it a go. I tested germination on three seeds and they're all growing so that's a very good sign. I appreciate that there are plenty of seeds to last a season or two, even for those with large gardens. The three I've got started will be plenty for my small garden, and I now have plenty to trade with others. I can do so with confidence knowing these are non-GMO heirloom seeds sourced from the USA.

It has a nice amount of seeds in the bag, they are of good quality and I sure hope that it germinates.

• planted 05/15/24• germinated 05/22/24So ... one week! Our high temps have been in the mid to upper 80s and our low temps the 60s here in Northeast Texas. So far, no complaints.

This is year 1 of my backyard garden and I decided to get some of these pumpkin seeds to plant so my daughter and I can carve one that we grew. Just planted last week so hoping to see some germination soon and will be able to come back and update this review for if they germinated or not. I have high hopes though, I've prepped the soil as best as I possibly could. Not gonna count if 60 are there, but seems like quite a bit. I am definitely content with it.

I'm becoming a collector of heirloom seeds. It's a little cold this year for pumpkins and I'm starting late, but I'll see how this grows.I've grown pumpkins previously, but not this particular variety (Connecticut Field). Usually I grow varieties for cooking and eating, and as opposed to the name, this pumpkin is actually edible and supposed to have sweet flesh. It works as a halloween decoration that can be cooked after the night's over!I started germinating one seed to try it out and that little seed has already set out roots. I don't have a lot of room for pumpkins, so this may be my only plant. (They take up a lot of space!) Hoping to get a couple pumpkins out of it.

Nice clean seeds of an old heirloom variety. I always plant directly in the spot they will be growing in.The grandkids are getting in on the gardening this year and pumpkins are one of the funnest for kids because they grow so fast and big.I wish there was a Pack Date on the package.
